INVENTORY MANAGEMENT
Often throughout the course of normal business operations and turnaround planning refining, chemical plants procure excess catalysts to compensate for possible loading losses, spills, etc. These additional volumes accumulate in inventories for a long time and in most cases result in a sizeable supply of obsolete material which requires periodic removal. IRA personnel can provide a valuable service in this regard as we are fully capable of finding suitable homes for many of these unused materials.
Our staff will schedule a thorough inventory walk-through and fully itemize the inventory in the plant. The cataloging includes citing the condition of packaging, labels, and the material in general. Upon this inspection, inventory, list, and purchase offers are made to the refinery including any requirements for possible repackaging. Upon acceptance, scheduled removal of the goods is planned and inventory is moved out of the plant. Advice such as finding a possible use of the material within the plant itself is also provided.
